Hi, I’m CAMPBELL
I am a teacher, a unionist, climate activist and I’ve lived in this community for 27 years. I am so honoured to be your Greens candidate for Northcote, and I am ready to represent you in the Victorian State Parliament.

Our community in Northcote cares about what happens to people in our electorate. We care deeply about our neighbours and just as deeply about people across the state and around the world.
You’re fed up. Fair enough! I get it.
You’re being ripped off while billionaires and ultra-rich corporations like banks, fossil fuel giants and gambling companies make massive profits, turbo-charge the cost of living and climate crisis, and pay no tax.
That’s why it feels like the system isn’t working for you. It’s not.
Labor, the Liberals and One Nation take millions from big corporations who buy political influence. Politicians should work for us, not corporate donors. I’m not going to stand by and let this continue.
You deserve a progressive representative who puts community first.
I’ve campaigned for social and climate justice all my life, based on the values instilled in me by my Scottish father, Jewish mother and Gunditjmara stepfather. I’ve taken action for a better world in the community, in the streets, in the forests, and in the courts.
I know that hope isn’t passive. It’s what inspires people to speak up, and push for change… when we connect and campaign together, that’s when hope begins.
As a teacher, I feel a deep duty of care to my students and their families. To future generations. When I saw my students and daughters fighting for and striking for climate action, I knew it was time to escalate my activism. I knew it was time to get elected. I’m grateful for the opportunity to fight with you, and for you, in Victorian State Parliament.
Our democracy should function in the way I teach 12 year olds that it should, with transparency and equity. Not the way VCE politics students learn that it actually does – with dodgy donations, misinformation and career politicians.
We are going to make ultra-wealthy corporations pay their fair share to fund the things we need to live a decent life here in Northcote: like affordable housing, properly funded public schools, caps on rent increases, making public transport free, and building more public housing, not demolishing it.
On a wafer-thin gap of just 184 votes, the Greens can win Northcote this November. We’ve turned Northcote green before, we can do it again.
Together, our community can demand better.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin nation and their continuing connection to land, waters and culture, and that their sovereignty over Country was never ceded. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present. The Greens commit to active solidarity with First Nations people in support of Treaty, justice and self-determination.
The Greens track record
In the balance of power in parliament the Greens have secured:
$60 million to protect nature and get homes and businesses off gas
Renting reforms including banning no grounds evictions and rental bidding
5000 more empty homes available by making the tax on empty homes stronger
$150 million for bike lanes and pedestrian safety
Proudly supported the first Treaty in Australia
Stopped the renewal of the MoU with Israeli Ministry of Defence
Imagine what we could do with more power after the next election.
